Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from music blogs and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. She gained some further recognition through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding an instrument in her attic and becoming enthralled by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely for pleasure or to aid in growth but rather, she should explore it. As a result, she began to write her own music. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. When her mother told her that the songs she composed were not meant to make her famous but instead to inspire people to see the importance of their work and influence to this world, she began performing them publicly. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached fourteen. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. She claims that music is her favorite way of feeling something.
