Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Make it a special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not for the purpose of making a living or to pursue an interest. She began writing songs of her own. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. In response to her mother's advice that she should not be aiming at achieving fame through their songwriting skills, she instead realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. When she began playing the piano, she was just six and started writing songs at the age of nine. The family members didn't know about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. She claims that she enjoys creating music. She says that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
